Sequins at the ready for Saint Michael’s!
PEOPLE from across the district are being offered the chance to get their glad rags on and trip the light fantastic to support their local hospice.
Strictly Saint Michael’s, a glittering evening of dinner and ballroom dancing, will be held at the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate, on Friday November 23.
Guests will enjoy a two-course meal, have the opportunity to learn some new moves from a professional teacher and the chance to show off their footwork on Harrogate’s only sprung-dancefloor.
Live music from Betty’s pianist Jackie Criss and luxury prize draw will complete the night’s entertainment.
Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s, said:
“This event will coincide with the next series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing so we hope that our supporters will take inspiration from the show and help bring some of that ballroom glitz and glamour to Harrogate. There’ll be no trophy at the end of the night, but everyone who takes part will be helping us to continue to provide specialist care and support to more than 2,400 local people every year”.
It costs £3.8million a year to maintain Saint Michael’s specialist services. The charity receives very little government funding and so relies heavily on voluntary contributions from the local community and fundraising events like Strictly Saint Michael’s.
Tickets cost £35 each or £400 per table of 12 and guests must book their tickets before Friday November 9.
