High Street TV were named winners of the Local Business Charity Awards (North Yorkshire) at an awards ceremony on January 30 sponsored by local insurance broker, Jelf, for their enthusiasm, hard work and dedication in raising money for Saint Michael’s.
The theme for the awards was “The Best of North Yorkshire” and this was very well deserved by the company that have been prepared to tackle anything from Total Warrior and road racing to volunteering and baking to raise more than £50,000 for Saint Michael’s in addition to supporting us through the Guild of Patrons.
Saint Michael’s nominated High Street TV for the award in recognition of the commitment and enthusiasm of the team and were delighted that their rewards were publicly recognised in this way.
Francesca Woodward, High Street TV, Marketing Director said:
“We are so delighted to have won this award, not only as a thank you to all the amazing team at High Street TV for their incredible fundraising efforts but also as it gives St Michael’s Hospice even more recognition for the truly incredible work that they do and the services they provide in and around the Harrogate district.”
Also nominated by Saint Michael’s in the individual category was of Sarah Wells, Community Manager for the Bettys and Taylors Group for her hard work with the Cone Exchange in creating personalised products for hospice patients from recycled materials. Dignity and respect are central to the care Saint Michael’s provides, and Sarah’s dedication, creativity and willingness to go the extra mile have made a real difference across the hospice’s services.
We were delighted that Sarah was recognised as a finalist at the awards evening.
