Light up a Life, Ripon
Sunday December 09, 2018
Missing someone special this Christmas? Dedicating a light on our Christmas tree is a meaningful way to remember them.
In 2018 Light up a Life marks its 20th anniversary of being a special part of local people's Christmastime traditions.
This year at Crimple House's Light up a Life event guests will have the special opportunity to experience the spectacularly illuminated Garden of Life as part of the service. This tranquil and reflective garden is a permanent fixture of our beautiful hospice grounds and is home to our Tree of Life, a hand-crafted structure with branches adorned in gold, silver and bronze hued leaves, each dedicated to the memories of loved ones.
|Description||Light up a Life at Ripon Cathedral:|
Each year hundreds of people across the district choose to make Light up a Life part of their Christmas tradition, remembering and celebrating the lives of loved ones.
When you make a dedication, a light will be illuminated on the Saint Michael's tree, shining in memory of your special someone.
The lights are illuminated as two meaningful community events held at Ripon Cathedral and Saint Michael's Hospice. By dedicating a light on one of our Light up a Life Christmas trees and making a donation, you can also help Saint Michael’s to continue caring for local families living with terminal illness this Christmas. The events are open to all.
|Cost||Saint Michael’s makes no charge for your dedication, but if you can make a donation towards our vital work supporting local people with terminal illness and bereavement we would be extremely grateful. All donations will help Saint Michael’s ensure more local people get the care they need to live their last years, months and days with choice, respect and dignity.|
