Education, Training and Professional Development
Learning is at the very heart of Saint Michael’s mission to promote and provide palliative care of the highest standards to all those in need. As specialists in palliative care we are proud to share the skills and expertise that we have acquired over 30 years caring for people with terminal illness.
2017/18 programme is coming soon.
Currently our programme includes:
1. Study days in a wide range of topics for a variety of professionals involved in the supporting people affected by terminal illness, bereavement support and mental health.
2. Tailor-made training sessions developed and delivered exclusively for you and your team across the variety of topics areas related to palliative care, bereavement support and mental health
3. Placements and work experience - in addition to offered high quality clinical student placements, Saint Michael's support a limited number of work experience requests across clinical and non clinical areas
4. Masterclasses - a programme of educational seminars in palliative medicine, generally aimed at consultants, general practitioners and clinical nurse specialists.
These are led by experienced and welcoming course leaders who deliver sessions on a range of topics that may help you further your career or give you the on the job confidence you want.
