Referring Patients
Our care is available to people who are living in the Harrogate district. This includes residents of the towns of Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Wetherby, and those living in the more rural areas of the district. All our services are free for patients, their families or carers.
In general Saint Michael’s cares for people who are over 18-years-old and accepts referrals from GPs, district nurses, specialist nurses, consultants and other healthcare professionals. Referrals can also be made by clinical staff from other Saint Michael’s departments. However, there are some exceptions to this rule; people are able to self refer to our Just ‘B bereavement support service.
Detailed referral criteria can be found on this site. We ask that referrers read these guidelines carefully before contacting us as this helps make the referral process as smooth as possible.
