Services for Saint Michael's patients and clients
Saint Michael’s offers a wide selection of services from our two sites, at Crimple Valley and the Great Yorkshire Showground; in the community and in patients’ own homes.
These include:
- Specialised support at home
- Day therapy
- Lymphoedema management
- Bereavement support
- Inpatient care, including symptom control, respite care and terminal care
Our services are available free of charge to patients, clients and their families, and are mainly funded through the gifts people leave in their wills and donations from the public.
Our palliative care services are available to adults (18 plus) living in the Harrogate district. People can access these services when diagnosed with a terminal illness, but, in the majority, individuals tend to use our services during the last years, months and days of their life.
Every patient or client that uses a Saint Michael’s service can expect quality specialist care in an environment where they are valued, responded to with empathy, listened to, communicated with sensitively and honestly and shown understanding of individual beliefs, lifestyle and culture.

We rely on donations from people like you.
Saint Michael’s needs £3.9 million a year to continue its vital work, and less than 20 per cent of this funding comes from the NHS.
Our Reason for Being:
Our vision is of a community where everyone gets the care they need to live their last years, months and days with respect and dignity.
