Saint Michael's Bereavement Support
Just ’B’ gives children, young people and adults a safe and confidential space to understand, express and cope with their grief. We believe that with the right support, at the right time, children, young people and adults can find a way to manage their grief and embrace a future where they can live and remember that person in a healthy and positive way.
Just ’B’ aims to help people live with the changes that a person’s death has brought to their life. The team are also experienced in helping children and young people who are coming to terms with the fact that someone close to them is dying. Our children and young people's support worker is funded by BBC Children in Need.
This service is available to anyone, whether they are connected to one of our Hospice patients or not. It is suitable for people experiencing any type of bereavement, including suicide, murder, a motoring accident or terminal illness.
Just ‘B’ offers support in people's homes, convenient community locations and at its two premises:
Children and Young People: Burton House, at Hookstone Oval, Harrogate.
Adults: Saint Michaels@Starbeck, The Avenue, Starbeck.
The services operate between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend group work and tea-time sessions, according to need.
Just ‘B’ is available to people living in the Harrogate district. We are responsive to people’s faith, individuality, culture and community.
These services are free to patients and their families.
