Services offered from our Hospice include:
- Lymphoedema support
- Day therapy
- Planned respite care
- Inpatient care
- Support for families and carers
- Bereavement support
Patient services are delivered by a team of specialists, including consultants, dieticians, doctors, nurses, social workers, complementary therapists, chaplains, physiotherapist, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and support workers.
This team works in partnership with other health and social care professionals involved with our patients to ensure all care is personalised to meet a person’s particular needs. Our services are designed to complement the help that a patient may already be receiving from other local services.
Our care is provided in the best possible environment for people with terminal illness. Our Hospice is not like a hospital, we are solely focussed on meeting the physical, psychological and emotional needs of people affected by terminal illness.
The services offered from Saint Michael’s Hospice are free to patients and their families. They are available to people living in the Harrogate district, who are 18 years old and upwards.
