Support In Your Home
Statistics show that most people with terminal illness want to continue living in the familiar, comfortable and secure surroundings of their own homes. Saint Michael’s can help achieve this.
Our team of specialists work with a patient’s GP and other professionals involved in their care, to offer symptom control advice, enabling people to remain independent for as long as possible.
We have a variety of highly skilled and experienced professionals on hand who can help. These include our consultant, clinical nurse specialists, social workers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
They are keen to work with each patient and those close to them to tailor the care offered to meet their particular needs. This support is designed to complement the services that may already be provided by district nurses and other local services.
The services offered by Saint Michael’s Hospice are free to patients and their families and is available to people living in the Harrogate district, who are 18-year-old and upwards.
Making a Vital Difference Every Day
The team at Saint Michael’s make around 18 home visits every day.
