| Saint
Michael's Hospice could not provide the quality of service we believe our
patients deserve without the valuable support of over 450 volunteers.
Volunteers are integrated into every aspect of our work within Crimple House,
such as working with patients in our Day Therapy or In Patient Units.

Volunteer drivers help with patient transportation and volunteer
therapists provide massage, aromatherapy and reflexology. Volunteers also
contribute to the day-to-day running of the Hospice by working within our
administration, fundraising or housekeeping departments. There are five Saint Michael's
shops in Harrogate; 85A Leeds Road, 107 Cold Bath Road, 42 Church Avenue, 17
Cold Bath Road and 38 High Street, Starbeck. The hospice also has shops in
Market Place, Otley, Market Square, Knaresborough and North Street, Ripon. We
also have a hard working band of fundraising volunteers who help with events
and also with street and store collections.
All new volunteers fill in an application form and attend an
interview, followed by an induction day before they are placed within their
chosen department. Volunteers working at Crimple House also need to undergo a
Criminals Records Bureau check.
We
are currently seeking Volunteers to join our catering team, work in our charity
shops or to join our fundraisers. We also welcome enquiries from trained
aromatherapists and reflexologists to work on a rota basis in our Day Therapy
or In Patient Units. |
